Default (EJS) West Coast Wheeling Trip Moab UT April 24, 2011

OK guys I figured I'd start this thread with PLENTY of notice for us East Coasters....we've been planning a Moab trip for a long time and have set the date to coincide with the Easter Jeep Safari. I know it takes some saving up and planning to make a trek across the country that's why I'm mentioning it now

I've gotten to know a few of you guys local to the URE area and couldn't think of anyone I'd be happier to have come with us

The trip we've been putting together for us involves 3 weeks with driving including wheeling in Moab, visiting the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas and possibly the Rubicon trail. We've never been to the west and would want to make it worth while by seeing all we can

Let me know what you think

I am all about this trip. Three weeks may be hard to get with Army schedule but I will definately do my best to go if I am not deployed. Can anyone tell me what kind of cost something like this would cost? Hotels along the way? etc..

I've been toying around with a trip for this time frame. I may try to do this. It'd be more fun with other people, so put me as a maybe. I would be interested in a mix of camping and hotels, to help keep the cost down, and I've heard stories about how great the camping is out west, but I know I wouldn't want to go without some hotel nights

I'm with NC08JK, getting three weeks would be difficult, and I don't know if I'll be in the country. BUT, I could possibly meet for EJS and/or the Rubicon trail.

I think any of you military guys that cant get enough time off to take the ride out there with us could fly out if you just want to experience Moab and the Rubicon with us. I am sure some of us will have room.

I was just looking at some of the pics posted from Moab

Lets just pray gas is still under 2bucks a gallon then, thats a lot of miles!
