In My jeep:

Traveling tool kit (soft bag full of various extra tools I've accumulated for wheeling)
recovery kit (snacth block, tree strap, strap, couple of shackles, gloves, rope)
AEV jack base (had to buy one after using it a couple of times!)
gloves
Extra pair of boots, socks, pants, underwear, shirt, Jacket, and Rain coat (sucks wheeling when you are soaked!)
Cooler: Waters, snacks, soda
Roll of Paper towels
some extra fluids (brake fluid. power steering fluid)
Fire Extinguisher
spare key on me at all times (was with a guy who lost a key in the mud)
Cash (best thing for getting something fixed after hours at a truck stop!)
Compressor and air fittings, CO2 tank, extra hose.
Camera and/or Video camera
First Aid kit.

Keep it all in a corner of my shed, and just load it in the jeep the night before I leave.

Might I suggest a trailer to haul all your stuff home from Cabela's? Then again, they probably sell those there too

Forgot to add, that I bring a 2nd Jeep (Commander, loaded with dogs, wife, baby (new addition) and all the babyu necessities, and then some! Nothing quite like having a gauranteed ride home, to make it less stressful if something happens. Also forgot to add the AAA membership card with extra towing coverage, upto 200 miles I think? Whatever it is, they'll tow my Jeep to my dealership!

That's it for now!!!!
