Picked up my JK today from ACOR, Jay did a great job couldn't be happier. I went with an AEV 4.5" lift, PureJeep truss,Elka shocks,m-80 wheels, and 37" Nitto. I took 2 pics as Jay was finishing up today.

Hey, I saw one of your posts about this shop and went to check them out since I am in the area. Very impressive shop. They do a lot of BMW work and Jay is the 4x4 guy. Have a lot of cool gear like road force balancer, alignment rack, benders, etc... Spoke to Jay for a while and he seems very knowledgable. Pricing seems very reasonable.

Funny you mention the Nabisco factory because on the other side of the shop is Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce factory... The combination of smells makes for an interesting aroma

Your jeep looks great!

While ACOR (Jay) is good(price-wise) and installed my AEV lift kit, I was a little weary after the fact I found out my steering stabilizer was installed incorrectly. Something as simple as that made me wonder if anything else was installed incorrectly. Needless to say, I crawled under to check everything and minor things needed correction.

Wasn't too pleased after that experience considering that I had to not only recheck everything myself, I found additional problems I had to fix. Again, good price but don't think I'd ever have work done there again.

On the other hand, The 4x4 Place in Lake Hopatcong - TOP NOTCH PLACE. Did my gears, installed my front driveshaft, welded on my gussets, replaced my rear driver side axle seal, and added my ARB differential covers with lubelockers. They took their time on the install and didn't rush things, kept me updated on the install if any issues came up, etc.

I have to say he was very meticulous with mine double checked everything over a few times took it for a few test rides til was perfect. Considering how many lift kit manufacures are out there small mistakes can happen to even the best shop. Jay as me setup to return next week for any adjustments that maybe needed.

I'm extremely happy with Jay and his work. you should have called him I'd bet he would have said bring it down and I'll take care of it.

I did call him and told him he installed it wrong. While he is a straight-shooting guy, I just found it a little unsettling that the SS along with a couple other minor things needed to be corrected. He also double checked and took it for a quick test drive and stated to come back for a retorque and alignment. I could have called him to have it fixed which im sure he would have(and should since I paid for the install), but I fixed them myself. Wasn't about to drive another 30 minutes for him to fix what should have been done right in the first place. Small mistakes can happen, yea... but that doesnt go into the category of a small mistake when its something so simple as to flipping the SS to the correct side.... yea, its my opinion too but they are far from a good shop, sorry. I THOUGHT they were too when I got everything set up for the install, but wasn't pleased afterwards. Sorry.
