Dude. Glad progressive is helping you out. I have been there! I hydro'd in 08 and have Allstate platinum. They covered everything as well. Took about 3-1/2 weeks.
I want to thank Mike for getting this all togther and I will hopefully be back out with you guys on Black Friday. You can already sign Laura and I up for Topless for Tatas! Anyway, Insurance is putting in a brand new motor (with warranty) and checking all electrical components as the relays were going crazy before we disconnected the battery. I will actually have the Jeep back early next week! I have Progressive insurance and they have been nothing but wonderful with this! I couldn't have been luckier! (well,I guess if I didn't go through a deep mud hole faster than I should have with a cool air intake i would have been smarter!) Here is the carnage! Here is the carnage.

You're talking about the Black Friday ride, correct. Because the family trail ride was two weeks ago. I don't have anything to do with putting the BF run together. It's not really an "organized" event. We all just meet at Rausch in the morning and split into groups in the parking lot. Don't get me wrong, you're more than welcome to come out an wheel with us. It's open to everyone. Just be aware that there's no thread for the ride and no one is keeping track who is coming. If you go, make sure that you're at the park on time, or everyone will hit the trails without you. We usually meet at the park between 8-8:30. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

This was my first year attending and my 7yo son and I had an awesome time! A big thanks to Mike for organizing and to Aaron for leading our group. We met some great people and learned some valuable technical skills (a stuck shock can be fixed by whacking it on a rock ). I have a few pics here and once I cut my video down to a reasonable length, I'll put a link for that up.

So I am officially BACK IN ACTION!!
Thanks for all the well wishes. I want to thank the guys who helped me out especially Mike who was probably the best trail leader I have ridden with. Hope to do a lot more runs with him. (Not ending up with him towing me back to the parking lot though!)
So here is the story. I have Progressive. First off, they were AMAZING!!!!!
- I have AAA also and used them to tow me. I didn't know that they would have towed me no matter how far away I was for free. They reimbursed me for the overage I had to pay AAA. (I have a 100-mile free tow package and I was about 140 miles away from home.)
- They came and picked my car up Monday 10/21 (two days after I Hydro'ed)
- They paid up to $30/ day for my rental for up to 30-days. (This was fine. I didn't pay a dime as I had a go-cart as a rental (Mazda 2)
- they called me at least twice a week with updates. I actually spoke with the mechanics (not a rep far away reading a screen)
- they even bought an aftermarket cleaning kit to clean the CAI (which will be soon replaced with a snorkel/ stock air box)
- The reason it WAS covered was because technically, the breakdown was a "weather related" issue. "flooded trail". This is considered a natural disaster accident.
- The whole thing, from breakdown to me driving my JKU again took exactly 17-days. The only expense I had was my deductible.

With that being said, Laura and I will be there on Black Friday and, Jeep willing, will be wheeling BOTH Friday and Saturday!
