The Storm

I service elevators around Toronto. I had to dig myself out four times today. Alot of buildings didnt have their drives done and my ford transit is very low so I was getting hung up in the drifts. Just glad its over.

LMAO, thanks to Biggy, I was installing my rock rails in the storm. Only got one side done tho.
Yesterday was the only day I had to install them because I borrowed a tool I have to give back today. The hole mounts didn't match up so I got my friends "come along" - don't know the real term of this hand-held winch. But it works like a charm.
Had alot of fun installing it. I was all bundled up and had the stereo blasting from the garage. What a crazy Canucks. I was going to ask Joanne to take pics of me surrounded by 2 feet of snow stuck under the Heep but somehow I knew she'd not want to bring her camera out in that blizzard. Good times.
And when the sun beats down on the driveway, I'll be at it again for the drivers side.
****Also, I twisted on of the stud mounts completely off and now only have 3 bolts holding rock rail in. I think I'll be fine but to replace the studs would I have to cut out the bracket and weld in a new one? I'm thinking they're welded on?

MY GOD IT WAS GLORIOUS! Normal 20 min trip to work took an hour and 40 mins. Due mainly to stopping to help push stuck ppl and tow those that i could. Actually managed to pull a bus that was stuck on hill and slid almost sideways. *Only pulled him to get him facing straight then he was able to get up hill on his own. Sadly no pics of it as i was too excited and didnt think of it in the moment. Also enjoyed justification of driving over sidewalks road medians due to stuck vehicles blocking way. Its good to own a jeep

I went tobogganing in the evening. Had some people pull up in their pick-ups in the parking when i was leaving and made some remarks about the jeep. I decided to leave it in 2wd and do a quick donut around them, spraying them with snow before leaving. They smiled, it was all in good fun.

Took me 4 hours to get home. Took the GO train home and a brand new Honda Civic got stuck on the tracks. We t-boned it. Car went flying, was just like in the movies. Woman in the car froze up when she saw the train coming, but lucky for her a guy in the vehicle behind her was quick enough to jump out, open her door and pull her out and clear before we hit the car. No injuries ('cept for the Civic of course)
