JKJam event Aug 24-26 2012
Hello everyone,
This year's JKJam will be on Aug 24th.
This will be the fourth event (no event in 2011 as I was serving in Afghanistan).
The onsite training/obstacle course has grown to almost 5km of obstacles and trails, with most of the expansion being inside the treeline at the end of the course.
Scott has been very, very busy with his tractor and has created a few very nice new surprised for returning JKJammers.
We have a few people returning who have volunteered to act as trail guides which should give us one or two new trails to include this year.
Still our focus is in exposing new JK owners to our world of offroading and everyone here can help us to do that by spreading the word.
On the JKJam website (website ends in .ca) but the more common .com will get you to a link to the site too.
Anyway, on the website there is tons of info about the event, which will raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society)
I would like to ask you all for help by downloading the "JKJam info Strips" from the "downloads" tab and print one or two pages, cut them apart and keep some in your jeep (and car) tag any JK that you see and help get the word out there to all those who have not yet found this forum or the website for the event.
Lets get more people involved in this great hobby.
Cheers
Rob

trying the additions to the course on friday after arrival , then the bonfire group picture etc.
IN the past we have planned trail suns out tours sunday morning for a lunch etc before departing but we have found that most people want to just get on the road so this year we are not planning on organizing a sunday trail.
However...... i have a new idea slowly growing in the back of my mind which might involve organizing JKJam trail runs on other dates.
Some trail runs get organized here on this forum, but a lot of our JKJammers do not follow these threads all the time, so i am thinking of emailing past jkjam participants with info about planned trail runs.
Sorry Guy, too bad you cant make it out for the friday night/sat trail but we will get something else going in Sept.
Cheers
