EGR replaced
Hi
well had my egr replaced under warranty
wow all i can say is what a difference it has made in my jeep
oh and if your looking for it it is in behind the passenger side fender
back to the difference
my idle got smoother, cold starts and drive off immediately after staring got mor smoother.
fuel economy went up a bit
engine sounds better
idle is more equalized
and acceleration has improved and no dead spot
my check engine light would only come on after a 1 hr drive and would only store the code for 50 starts and the egr would only fail at that time the engine lite came on and the engine remained running. it was code p0405 after weeks of trying to get the dealer to trouble shoot
they final got it when i rolled in with an appointment for 10am a week day left home at 9 got on highway and ding lite on turned around took it to them and they caught the egr failing. apparently the light being on isnt enough these days
so ya repaired on thursday and it was a different jeep to drive after.
apparently the there is a pretty relaxed margin of error for the egr.
just wanted to share just in case.
