Any Ottawa Valley JK-ers here?
Hello everyone! I'll start with an introduction.
I have been on this site for some time, built up a 2010 JK brand new and started building right away.
I had less than 10 thousand kms on it before I had the lift and 35's.
I had a lot of fun with it and beat it up. Took that jeep to places many would not follow in older tj's and mud trucks, as I was really interested to see what my jeep could do.
Here is a picture playing in some sand:
I recently found out that my girlfriend and I were going to have a baby! So as any of you 2 door owners out there can relate, there is ZERO room in those things. I knew I had to give up my baby. OK to clarify, I could have just gotten an SUV, but lets be honest here, I have always liked the 4 doors, and the new engine in the 2013 was calling my name.
I stripped what I could but ultimately had to sell the jeep with most of the parts on it. (I again apologize to those who were excited about the parts, I did not intend to sell as a whole).
I ended up with a 2013 Sahara. Not my first choice, but I was excited about the options I would have in comparison to my stripped down bare bones sport, that didnt even have air conditioning.
The dealerships in my immediate vicinity like to cater to the soccer moms and only carry either base models or decked out saharas. Therefore, I figured it was time for an upgrade. What I am looking most forward to is the built in power inverter, the ac for our baby if it does get too hot out, and the trunk space for our dog.
Here is a picture of my new jeep:
So long story short, I will be building this one up similar to my 2010, and hoping to be wheeling by the summer time.
I wanted to see how many valley jeepers are on this forum, as jeepkings has more tj's than anything and I want to get a bunch of jk's on the trails, and possibly on some weekend adventures.
Im located in the Deep River/ Petawawa area.

Congrats on both the baby and the Jeep!
I got my 2011 JKU two years ago when my wife was expecting our first. Two years later, she's now expecting our second! It's fun lifting kids up into a lifted Jeep with 35's! Actually is rather amusing watching my very pregnant wife get in and out...especially on the due day!
With the second one on the way, sad to say I'm considering selling mine and going for something else (Tahoe, Yukon, Durango like). It's going to be hard to find the time for
top off, doors off trail driving in my foreseeable future.
I will miss it when it's gone!

Hey I'm right there with you. Out East for the summer, but looking to do some good off-roading when I'm back at the end of Aug. I've explored some of the area heading towards Deep and some trails off Forest Lea, but I need to see more of the area. I've finally got some money to dump into mods, so I should have a better rig by then.
Congrats on the edition to the fam btw!
