Welcome to the Long Island thread.
Where we can talk about all thing Long Island. Like sitting in traffic on the L.I.E.
Or, why there is no place left in Nassua county to go wheel'n.

Is it possible that I'm the only one from Long Island on this forum?

Default New Member here!

Your not the only one from LI on this thread anymore. I am pleased to say I have just stumbled upon this sight and registered right away. I'm in Suffolk not-so patiently awaiting the arrival of my new 4 door Rubicon. The word is it will be here around the end of March and it can't come soon enough.

I've been waiting for my Jk as well. I should be taking delivery by the end of the month.

This site has been extremely helpful. A lot of knowledgeable people. Checkout the "Check your status...' thread and you can follow the build of your Jeep.

Do you know any good 4x4 shops?

I did see that post about checking out your status and think I might call them today. And there definitely is a large amount of knowledgeable people around here.

The only good shop I know of right now is a little far, up in Brewster. I used to live up in Putnam so that's who I dealt with when I was getting into this stuff. Like I said, a little far but they really have their act together. Look them up online, you might see something you like.

I ordered my JK from East Hills Jeep in Roslyn. They are only 5 min. from my house and I wanted a local dealer. They are also a 5 star dealer and offer a free rent-a-car for every service.

Anyway, they left me a message yesterday, said I will be driving the Jeep by the end of the month.

Do you plan on doing any 4 wheeling? I'm trying to get a beach permit for Robert Moses Beach, but not sure how to get it done.
