YEEE HAWW! Everyday Drivers Submit Their Craziest Car Jumps

Normally when stunts like jumping cars are performed, they come with a “do not try this at home” disclaimer. Lucky for us, the good folks at Car Throttle did just the opposite and asked their followers to submit their craziest car jumps. Judging from the attempts in this video, it is clear to see that man was not meant to fly. However, that never stopped the Wright Brothers, and it certainly didn’t stop this collection of daredevils as they channel their inner Dukes of Hazzard and send it to glory.

With the right suspension and tires, and a good take-off and landing, catching air in a vehicle can be a thrilling and somewhat safe activity. The beauty of this video though, is that these are all clearly amateur drivers in very average cars. In fact, judging by the amount of station wagons and other grocery getters being abused in this video, it looks like several family cars are being pushed to the limits by some unruly teenage sons.

Those unaccustomed to risk taking may view this video as a reckless, destructive, and dangerous collection of stunts. And rightfully so. But, if you can look past the busted bumpers, bottomed out suspensions, and damaged under carriages of these poor cars, you will find examples of courage and bravery that define the human spirit. Each driver highlighted in this video makes the decision to get all four tires off the ground. While making no claims about the overall intelligence of these drivers, we can assume they know jumping their car is probably not a good idea, and they don’t want to injure themselves. It is a thing of beauty to see these drivers manage these risks, dial in their line, punch the throttle and fully commit to getting airborne. Bo and Luke Duke would be proud.
