Classic Jeep Lovers Rejoice! Your Replacement Engine Issues Are Over
I’m sure this will come as welcomed news to a lot of people here at JK Forum. Although it’ll probably generate a lot more interest from those who have a thing for some of the more classic Jeeps. And more specifically, those who’ve run into trouble with those old four-cylinder flathead engines.
You probably never thought there’d be a new fix after that thing died, right? Finding replacement engines for older Jeeps is akin to trying to dig for gold in a desert.
Well, apparently a guy by the name of John Lampl (who has a background in manufacturing) has been busy trying to figure out a way to reproduce the Go Devil engine, which as you might imagine has posed a host of challenges.
The biggest issue has been trying to find a foundry willing to produce a small number of the engines, as highlighted in a FourWheeler report. But believe it or not, John has actually managed to pull it off, with the help of a few other committed souls, in the form of a new L-134 block. And the video below serves as proof.
