Veteran-owned JK Unlimited Is Your June Featured Jeep of the Month!
With a host of upgrades inside, outside, and underneath, this JK Unlimited is certainly worthy of FJOTM status for June.
Each month, JK-Forum members submit their rides for consideration for our prestigious Featured Jeep of the Month honors. The winner is chosen by the community, and after the dust settled in June’s FJOTM contest, this 2013 JK Unlimited owned by member and retired Army officer OmegaMan emerged victorious. We couldn’t think of a more fitting person for this prize, nor a better Jeep to carry the torch for another month.
OmegaMan purchased this JK Unlimited as a bone stock, no-options ride from a local car rental agency. He then proceeded to modify the heck out of it, replacing all of the lighting, installing a completely new sound system, and a host of exterior mods. The latter includes a set of angry eyes, black grill inserts, a black hood latch/lock, and an American Flag gas cap cover.
The owner then turned his attention to the suspension of the JK Unlimited, blessing it with a 2.5″ Rough Country lift kit with a stabilizer bar. That made room for a new set of XD wheels and 35″ BFGoodrich tires for an extra aggressive stance. To further enhance the exterior appearance of this Wrangler, the owner then added new front and rear bumpers, the former of which has orange D-rings.
The front bumper also incorporates a winch with a matching orange cable stopper. On the inside, OmegaMan has added quite a few accessories, including seat covers, an accessory storage area, floor lights, door logo lights and plastic entry guards, and WeatherTech floor mats.
As is the case with most builds, this one isn’t finished just yet, either. Future plans call for new wheels, a front skid plate, and a hood latch replacement.
This JK Unlimited is certainly worthy of June Featured Jeep of the Month status. But now, we’re moving on to July and looking for our next great member-owned Jeep.
