Three Wranglers Tow Big Rig to Safety
With Snow All Around, Instagram Video Captures a Team of Wranglers Working Together to Tow a Big Rig
How many Wranglers does it take to rescue an 18-wheeler stuck in a snow blizzard?
Seven? Six? Five?
Nope, try three. Well, three when they’re anchored by one as beefed up as the one highlighted in a recent MSN report. The story actually highlights a couple of videos that show huge semis being pulled out of sticky situations by smaller trucks.
But it’s jeepblvd‘s Instagram video below that really impresses MSN writer Evan Yates. The clip shows three Wranglers towing an 18-wheeler using a simulated pulley system. Each of the Jeeps are connected to one another, leveraging their collective power to complete the task at hand.

“I have to admit, I was impressed and surprised that a Wrangler — no matter how modified — was able to complete such a task. It’s not just that they lack the necessary torque, they also don’t weigh enough and simply aren’t designed for that type of capability,” writes Yates.
Interestingly, it seems like Yates just discovered what we’ve known here at JK Forum for quite some time: When it comes to capability, one should never, ever underestimate the power of a Jeep. Or in this case, a team of three Jeeps, led by one that’s set on proving no situation is too big to tackle, especially when you have two other Wranglers backing you up.
