Subaru Driver Rams Into Jeep Passing on Shoulder

Motorist claims frustration drove her to hit Cherokee three times.

You, just can’t make this kind of stuff up. Well, you could, but unless there’s an actual photo proving it like the one pictured here, most people would probably just write it off as some wild rumor that’s spun way out of control. Though, in this case, as wild as it seems, this actually happened.

Yep, a woman driving a Subaru got so upset at people passing her on a highway shoulder in Washington state, that she took it upon herself to teach a Jeep Cherokee driver a lesson by ramming into his vehicle three times, according to a Fox News report. Pretty crazy, huh?

Now, in all honesty, most law-abiding motorists have probably found themselves in a similar situation where they’ve grown insanely frustrated with people passing them on the shoulder. In fact, some of us here in the JK Forum office admitted to trying to “politely” block a car or two that’s attempted to pass to the right of our vehicle in some heavy traffic situation. But the idea of crashing your ride into another car to prove a point is insanity of a different kind.

The photo does, however, make you wonder what the driver of the Jeep must have thought as it was all unfolding. Our guess is that the initial reaction was one of utter surprise, followed by a few choice words for the Subaru driver that would’ve made for an interesting social media post, to say the least.

According to the FOX report, both drivers were cited for the incident. Though, you got to think, that the ticket for the Subaru driver was a lot stiffer than the one for the Cherokee. Well, at least it should.
