Stretched V8 Jeep Wrangler Is Totally a Thing, But It Cost $160,000 to Build
Where there’s a car, there’s probably some wildling out there who wants to make it bigger. Wider, longer, taller — whatever the mod, it’s probably been done. Jeeps don’t escape this, and it’s the reason we now have a photo of a cute little pup chillin’ in a stretched Jeep Wrangler, which looks like a brilliant safari vehicle more than anything.
We found this long body on Jeep.DieselSellerz.com, and it’s currently selling in Ridgway, Pennsylvania for $50,000. That obviously sounds like a boatload of cash for a Jeep, but the seller claims that he has spent $160,000 on this unique version of the Wrangler, so he’s obviously going to be losing a ton of money.
The Wrangler was given the 43-inch stretch by Texas builders What-A-Jeep LLC. It reportedly used all Jeep DOT certified parts and safety equipment, and is fully street legal and up-to-date with state inspections. That’s not the only surprise about this thing either. It also has a Chevrolet small-block V8 under the hood that makes 345 horsepower, which is connected to a four-speed automatic General Motors transmission.
The list of modificationsĀ is longer than most Russian novels. The interior is rhino-lined, it has a high-capacity aluminum radiator, stainless-steel exhaust, Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 High Pinion front axle, Dynatrac trail series 60 semi-float rear axle, 5.38 gears, dual-piston brakes with stainless lines, a ton more Dynatrac suspension parts, andĀ 17×8.5″ Walker Evans Racing Beadlock Wheels with 40-13.50 Goodyear MTR tires. Head over to the ad for the full comprehensive run-down, if for nothing else other than inspiration for your own off-roader.
