After 37 years of production, Stellantis sells the five millionth Jeep Wrangler.

A lucky Jeep customer in Camden, New Jersey will get the package of a lifetime after buying the five millionth Wrangler. The title of such a magnitude belongs to a 2023 4xe Rubicon 20th Anniversary edition, speaking volumes to both the love for the Wrangler and clean motoring.

To further celebrate the occasion, Stellantis is helping the five millionth Wrangler go out with a bang with a trove of goodies to go along with it. This fortunate soul will be gifted the Jeep Wave package and $5,000 worth of Jeep Performance Parts hardware.

During a time when a combustion engine and relatively low milage per gallon is heavily looked down upon, the fandom behind the Wrangler truly does speak for itself.

“With 5 million Wranglers sold, the Jeep brand continues to grow, fueled by the unwavering passion of the Jeep global community,” said Jim Morrison, president of Jeep North America. “With legendary 4×4 capability, open-air-freedom and a timeless design, the Wrangler embodies the spirit and the soul of the Jeep brand. More than 80% of the 5 million Wranglers sold since 1986 are still on the road, having fun out there and showcasing the amazing staying power of the vehicle.”

Since the days of the military GIs bringing the primitive military Jeeps over after World War II, the Wrangler has done nothing but get more popular. For several years in a row, the SUV has won the award for the best Off-Road SUV, and the 4xe Wrangler remains the best-selling plug-in hybrid in America.

More than anything, it’s surprising it took so long for Stellantis to sell five million after so many successful decades. The Wrangler has always been the best selling Jeep of the lineup, and will likely continue to be so. Here’s to another million, Stellantis.
