Price Cut: 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Prices Slashed by up to $4,000
After several price hikes Stellantis reverses course and lowers the prices on most V6-powered 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee models.
We are all well aware that new car prices have been getting substantially more expensive over the last several years. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has not been immune to these price hikes. Since 2022 the base price of most models of increased by several thousand dollars. In a bit of a surprise move Stellantis recognized they may be pricing folks out of the market so they slashed the price on most 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. A bulletin was sent from Stellantis to Jeep dealers on January 29 informing them of the price cut. A TikTok user called “zachshefska” highlighted the details of the bulletin and the related price adjustments.
Prices of many 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee models were cut between $2,000 and $4,000. We will detail the discounts for you below. That is the good news. However, it is important to note that the new pricing does not apply to any of the 4xe models. Also, Jeep had been running a promotion on many Grand Cherokee models that was offering 10 percent off MSRP. That promotion appears to have ended. So, it is possible that even with the lower base price you could be spending more for a new Grand Cherokee.

Why the Change?
Why did Stellantis decide to cut the prices now? The Grand Cherokee has been selling well. In 2023 244,597 Jeep Grand Cherokees were sold in the U.S. That is a 9.5 percent increase compared to 2022. Bill Peffer, Head of Jeep Brand North America, told CarsDirect, “We know consumers are grappling with the rising costs of inflation. In response, the Jeep brand is taking the opportunity to add content and value to its award-winning lineup, while at the same time rolling back starting U.S. MSRPs on some of our most popular models, like the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee.”
Buy Now or Wait?
The new pricing makes the Jeep Grand Cherokee even more enticing. If you were thinking about putting one in your garage, this might be the right time. However, if there is one place the Grand Cherokee could use an improvement it is in the engine compartment. The 2024 models are powered by the antiquated 3.6L Pentastar V6. Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles get the much newer and more powerful Hurricane Twin-Turbo inline 6 engine. This engine will likely see duty in the Grand Cherokee in the near future. But it will also likely come with a significant price increase. So, do you wait for the new engine and spend more, or grab a deal now while you can? That is your call, but the announcement of lower pricing is always welcomed news.
