Police Selling Low-Mile 2013 Wrangler for $25K
City’s pitch to bid on Jeep is more interesting than the deal on the police vehicle itself.
Looking for a Wrangler with relatively low miles?
Well, this 2013 Rubicon Unlimited model being sold by the Winnebago Police Department in Illinois might pique your interest.
The Jeep only has 16,000 miles on the odometer, with bidding starting at $25,000 for the four-door Wrangler. Even more encouraging, of those 16,000 miles already racked up on the Jeep, 8,600 of them were put on the vehicle by the city of Winnebago, which suggests that the Jeep is still in great condition.
Then again, Illinois is known to have a few good off-road trails, as detailed on WabashValleyOutdoors.com. Point being that someone affiliated with the city of Winnebago could have gotten the urge to do some off-roading in the Jeep, adding a bit more wear-and-tear to those 16,000 miles.

Still, given that a new Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon can start at roughly $38,000, the Winnebago Village Jeep is quite a deal.
Although, it does come with a built-in pet smell, courtesy of a dog owned by the person who previously drove the Jeep, according to the Winnenbago Police Department’s Facebook page. Oh, and there’s also the fact that the previous owner apparently got busted with illegal drugs, which likely is part of the reason the vehicle wound up in the hands of the local authorities in the first place.
That said, if there were ever drugs sold or bought using the Jeep, it might also come with some unwanted attention.
