Nicely Modded 2-Door Wrangler Is Your Jeep of the Month
With a laundry list of mods and lots of killer off-road pics, this short Jeep is more than worthy of FJOTM status.
Every month, we ask our JK Forum members to submit their rides for Featured Jeep of the Month consideration. Once everyone has shown off their rides, we take a vote from all forum members to choose a winner. That one lucky victor gets a special FJOTM Winner icon added to their profile, and their Jeep may be featured in the next newsletter. Even better, we often feature these Jeeps and their stories on the JK Forum Home and Facebook page! Which is exactly what we’ve got for you here.
July’s FJOTM winner is this killer 2010 2-door Wrangler owned by member karls10jk. The Hampton Roads, Virginia resident has certainly done his fair share of work to the Jeep over the years. In fact, there are few stock components left to list. Those mods start, of course, with a 2.5” Metalcloak lift, Rancho 5000x shocks, Metalcloak F&R trackbars, and AEV CA brackets. Things underneath have also been fortified with Teraflex Rzeppa rebuild kits on the rear driveshaft, as well as Revolution rear axle shafts.
To fill out that newly added space, the OP installed a set of 35” BF Goodrich KO2 tires on AEV Pintler beadlock wheels. A set of 1.25” Spidertrax wheel spacers pushes them out a bit further. Rigid lighting and GenRight front and rear bumpers help add some functionality and looks to the mix as well. Out back, a MorRyde tire carrier and heavy duty hinges handle the extra weight of the larger spare.
There’s plenty of armor to protect this Jeep from the rocky trails as well. Goodies like Rubicon rock rails with Poison Spyder DIY CJ rock sliders and an Or-Fab Crossmember skid. A Doestch Off-Road Aluminum tie rod and Rubicon express drag link eliminate some weak points. Meanwhile, a Rugged Ridge snorkel keeps the Wrangler alive under water.
Rounding out this long list of mods are a Benchmark Designs oil pan and dual battery bracket, Viair 440C OBA with 2-gallon tank, trimmed factory flares, and a Springtail Solutions tailgate table. And that isn’t the end of this Jeep build, either. Future plans call for a possible upgrade to KM3 tires, albeit in the same 35″ size. This awesome 2-door Jeep wasn’t just built for show, either. The OP wheels it all over Virginia and North Carolina at any given chance.
