New Euro-Spec Wrangler Rubicon Could Make U.S. Fans Jealous
Euro-spec Rubicon’s specialty Jeep features are just one element that U.S. fans might envy.
Typically, when it comes to specialty Jeep models here in the States, they are built around ideas rooted in American trends. So, it really should come as no surprise that unique Euro models get most of their inspiration from trends across the pond.
Take, for example, the new Euro Rubicon Wrangler that comes fitted with the Mopar One Package. It was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor show, and recently showcased at the “Euro Festival” in Saint-Tropez. Developed exclusively for the Rubicon, the specialty Jeep includes a number of unique features. These include a 2-inch lift kit, massive 32-inch tires, a steering stabilizer, and special fenders.

Sure, it might be hard to convince folks that mods like a 2-inch lift and beefier tires on a Jeep are a Euro thing. But one feature that’s undeniably Euro inspired is the special-edition Wrangler’s 2.8-liter CRD diesel engine. It’s a feature that likely makes a few Jeep fans here in the U.S. a little envious.
That said, it appears that some are wondering if the Euro-inspired Jeep will actually appeal to consumers in Europe. And with news that Wranglers sales across the pond have been in a bit of a decline in recent years, there might very well be some validity to those concerns. However, we’re sure the specialty model would be huge hit if it were sold here in the States.
