How Much Does it Take to Certify a Jeep as a Beast?
Different, right? Well, at least that’s what we thought when we first stumbled on this Jeep. And after going through the details on the Wrangler, we’re still a little unsure about what to think about it.
The thing about this Wrangler is that while it doesn’t quite seem like something you’d want to drive everyday in the city, it’s not quite the beast you’d expect it to be off-road either, at least not according to Four Wheeler.
Then again, that might all depend on exactly what one might consider serious off-roading. The suspension upgrades include a Rough Country 6-inch lift kit, Bilstein shocks, and a Rough Country steering stabilizer, which is probably more than enough enhancement for the average off-roader.
The core hardware under the hood is still pretty much stock though, including the transfer case, trans, and 3.6L V-6 engine. But the owner has added a few mods, like an Optima YellowTop battery, K&N filter element, air compressor, and sPOD relay box.
Other performance features include Dana 35 front and Dana 44 rear axles, with 17×10-inch Method wheels fitted with 37-inch Nitto Terra Grapplers.
Yup, you’d really need to be a serious off-roader to need more performance enhancements than this.
