2011 Wrangler with AEV Upgrades is a Standout
Wrangler features aftermarket bumpers, wheels, tires and a nice lift kit.
There are a great many companies which offer upgrades for the Jeep Wrangler, but American Expedition Vehicles, better known as AEV, is one of the most respected. As the company name would suggest, AEV offers upgrades that transform any vehicle into a near-unstoppable off-road machine, but not everyone has the ability to install these items, nor do they know of a trustworthy shop to do the install for them.
Fortunately, “tcal4404” posted his 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in the JK Forum Marketplace with a long list of upgrades, both from AEV and from other, reputable brands, making this a great option for someone who wants a vehicle that is prepared to hit the trails.
Wrangler with AEV Components
When the OP first posted his 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for sale, he began with some history of the vehicle, followed by a modifcation list, a maintenance list and a quick rundown of what is wrong with this modified SUV.
Selling my beloved Wrangler. I’m the 2nd owner, I picked it up in 2014 with 22k miles (bone stock). It was first owned by an older gentlemen and traded in. Jeep has been truly cared for under my ownership (exterior/mechanically/modifications). Right now sitting at 89k miles (clean title, title in hand, no accidents). Jeep has been tastefully modified with very high quality parts (AEV) and all the work done by a very reputable shop (Globex performance – NJ).
Fully loaded: Dual tops! (soft top + body colored hard top + freedom top bag), saddle leather/heated seats, remote start, Uconnect 430N head unit (6.5″ touchscreen, navigation, bluetooth/xm radio), Alpine 9-speaker stereo w/ subwoofer, 3.73 gears, towing package, power windows + mirrors, Mopar fuel filler cover.Modifications (Over $10k, all were done by a top notch shop, Globex Performance in Tom’s River NJ – have all receipts):
-AEV Front bumper
-AEV Rear bumper w/ Tire Carrier + AEV 3rd brake light
– AEV 2.5″ DualSport XT Lift w Bilstein Shocks
– AEV Geometry Control Arm Drop Brackets
– AEV 17×8.5 Pintler Wheels-Black (excellent condition no rash)
– Goodyear Duratracs 315/70/17 (plenty of life left)
-Stubby Antenna
-Clear turn indicator & side marker lights
–Weathertech floorliner all weather mats (front + rear + cargo liner)
– Superchips Flashcal [Recalibrates speedometer for larger tires] (included – can be used as an OBDII/Check Engine Scanner – included)
– Mopar door sill guards
– Mopar front mud guardsI have all maintenance records, recent stuff below:
-Synthetic oil changes every 5k miles
-Brakes were changed Dec 2018 (less than 10k miles ago)
-All 4 rotors and pads replaced. Premium coated rotors (don’t rust in the center)
-Recently (Aug 2019) [~$2.4k service]
-Replaced both rear axles w/ HD axles & new axle seals
-Differential fluid change
-EGR Valve replaced
-Parking brake servicedJeep looks and runs great! Still gets tons of compliments and people can’t believe the condition it’s in. I worked hard to maintain the jeep in pristine condition and always handwashed it myself (2-bucket method + good products) or took it to good hand-washes I trust. I love the look of the body colored top and fenders w/ the aev bumpers & lift.
A/C & heat work flawlessly. Moving on to a pickup truck, sad to see it go but whoever picks this up is getting a very well cared for wrangler w/ great modifications. Seats are not shiny (not sure why pics make it look that way).
The not so good. Front brakes squeak occasionally. Pads & rotors changed less than 10k miles ago, they just need to be lubed as I think one of the clips vibrates/rubs occasionally.
The OP also included also included a collection of pictures showing the Wrangler inside and out. We have only included a few here, but if you are interested in this Jeep, click here for a closer look.
Ready for Off-roading
This Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is an ideal off-road machine, with bumpers that will take more abuse than the stock units. They also create a much more aggressive looking vehicle with the help of the lift kit, the wheels and the tires. In terms of maintenance, this Wrangler has been taken care of over time, including some work that can prove to be costly if neglected.
Based on what we know from the sale post, this Jeep is built to outperform a stock vehicle and it will continue to perform well into the future thanks to the routine maintenance program. In other words, you will be hard-pressed to find a modified 2011 Wrangler in better condition, so if you are in the market for a new-to-you Jeep, this AEV-modified machine might be your ideal rig for driving on the road and off.
