JK Forum Tips for Removing Wrangler Carpet
I’m starting to think that Rooster76 might need to be one of our primary go-to guys when it comes to interior tips for sprucing up a Wrangler. The exemplary JK Forum member has become quite the resource when it comes to do-it-yourself tips for fixing up the inside of the popular Jeeps.
After detailing the proper way to install a bed liner, Rooster76’s latest thread, “Carpet Removal 2012 2DR,” includes a step-by-step tutorial on how to remove the carpet inside a Wrangler. And given the beating that Jeep interiors tend to take, I’m betting people here will be clamoring for a few extra tips on how to tackle that project.
Rooster76 starts out by making a few suggestions on the necessary tools for the job. But the bulk of the thread is focused on things intended to make the project easier, like using pens to point out where the slits are in the carpet and how much the slits will need to be cut to get the carpet out.
Of course, whether you’d prefer changing that worn carpet or adding a bed-liner, it’s a matter of personal choice. But this carpet removal thread is certainly a good place to start when mapping out those interior plans.
