Jeep Unveils Hard Steel Renegade at Geneva Auto Show
I guess there’s no limit to what Jeep will do to highlight the possibilities of the new Renegade.
Making its debut at the Geneva Auto Show, this custom spin on the Jeep is being dubbed “Renegade Hard Steel,” so obviously I like the name. It’s based on the Trailhawk off-road edition, as highlighted in an AutoExpress.co.uk report.
The Jeep owes that exterior look to a brushed steel paint effect offset by matte black roof bars, alloy wheels, bonnet vents, and bumpers. The edgy Renegade also has a Wi-Fi hotspot, raised suspension, and a set of BF Goodrich all-terrain tires.
One of the things that seems to be generating the most buzz, however, is the Renegade Hard Steel’s specialty trailer that’s designed with the back of the Jeep in mind. It’s got a giant touchscreen display showcasing the latest Uconnect LIVE in-car infotainment technology.
I’ve heard a few phrases thrown around the JK-Forum offices about the custom contraption. But I haven’t quite figured out what I think about it yet. I will say this though, it certainly is wild, the wildest yet we’ve seen for the new compact SUV.
