Jeep Trackhawk Better than Dodge Widebody Hellcat?

Jeep Trackhawk Better than Dodge Widebody Hellcat?

The 2018 widebody Hellcat is amazing, but what happens when it squares off with the 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk? Find out in this TFL Car video.

The all-new Jeep Trackhawk is a factory monster. Putting down 707 horsepower to all four wheels, it should be faster than a Hellcat, right? Well the new 2018 widebody Challenger Hellcat has just been released, and it tells a different story. In the quarter mile the Trackhawk takes the cat by the tail and jumps to an early lead. The four-wheel traction helps the Jeep get off the line quicker. Unfortunately, the sheer size and shape of the Jeep help the Hellcat catch up in the end. So if you want the faster of the two, you buy the widebody Challenger. If you want to beat that cat in the real world, from light to light, you buy the Jeep.

Speaking of reasons to buy the Jeep, let’s talk about practicality. The Jeep has four big doors, a ton of space in the rear seats for kids or adults, and a towing capacity of more than 7,000 pounds. Not to mention the large cargo capacity of the rear hatch. If you live anywhere with a bit of snow, the Hellcat will be in the garage for the winter, while the all-wheel-drive Trackhawk will be getting you to the office.

In this video by The Fast Lane Carthe host, Roman Mica agrees with many of our points on the Jeep Trackhawk versus the widebody Hellcat. He actually has a long-term Hellcat himself, so he may be a bit biased. Roman goes on to compare the two from a performance and practicality standpoint. Based on the points we discussed, the decision should be very easy. He should choose the Jeep Trackhawk. We here at JK-Forum.com would, of course, choose the Jeep. Watch the video to see what Roman says about the two.
