Jeep Teases Pair of New Concepts for 2023 Easter Jeep Safari
A bevy of cool concepts are coming to the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari, and now we have our first glimpse at two of them.
2023 marks the 57th year for the Easter Jeep Safari, which will once again be hosted by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers club and take place in Moab, Utah on April 1-9. Over the past several decades, thousands of enthusiasts have shown up to take place in one of the world’s latest off-road gatherings, but also to check out the latest and greatest concepts that Jeep has to offer. In the past, we’ve seen some truly incredible creations, which has set the bar quite high, but the company claims that it’s “bringing its A game” to the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari, and to whet our appetites in the meantime, recently released two teasers – or trail markers, as it calls them – previewing what we can expect in that regard.
The first is a “4xe electrified Jeep SUV” that is “set to conquer Moab’s tumultuous backcountry trails in absolute silence,” according to the brand. It’s unclear if either of these two teaser images depict that electrified off-roader, but it’s possible that the bright green one is precisely that, or perhaps something different entirely. Regardless, there are quite a few interesting takeaways to note here.
Firstly, the bright green model is a two-door that’s, well, missing its door, but it also features a pretty cool looking pillar that’s steeply raked like some sort of fastback, and there are no hinges or obvious places where a door might be attached. This concept is also wearing massive fenders covering large tires, but it’s also notable that this is a rendering and not an actual photo, it seems, almost like a stylized cartoon of sorts.
Next up, we have a more conventional-looking concept bound for the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari – a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon wearing tube doors, while the Jeep Performance Parts logo is visible in the upper left hand corner. This is clearly a ride built specifically with some prototype parts that are set to possibly be released in the near future – another popular star of the Easter Jeep Safari, particularly since Jeep also mentioned that JPP will be heavily involved with the event, as usual.
This is likely just the tip of the proverbial iceberg given the fact that Jeep routinely brings a half-dozen or more concepts to each year’s event. And given how much this brand loves a good teaser, we’ll likely see a lot more of them in the coming weeks.
