Jeep Cherokee Adorns Grille With Dead Tiger Shark
We’ve seen a lot of strange Jeep hood ornaments before, but this one is a whopper. This isn’t Photoshop here folks, this is just your average Australian driving a Jeep Cherokee with a dead tiger shark strapped to the grill.
Am I the only one who’s now very afraid of visiting Australia?
I suppose I should feel a bit relieved to know that Julie Wright — the lady who posted this video on Perth & WA Fishing Reports‘ Facebook page over the weekend — had to at least look twice when she saw this thing driving around Safety Bay. Which at least suggests that perhaps this is not a daily occurrence in the Land Down Under.
Perhaps.
As you might expect, the post has created quite the discourse, to the tune of over 1,000 comments. And many of those comments have been commented upon — what with the online world being what it is. The post has mostly erupted into a debate over the ethics and legality of nabbing a shark of that size.
While I can appreciate the environmental concerns, and I do think this shark killer should someday be eaten by something, I can also laugh it off. Can’t we just enjoy the fact that it’s a Jeep with a giant dead shark strapped to its grill? That’s about the toughest thing I’ve ever seen.
