Jeep Seller’s Honesty Is Darn Entertaining, Though Not Exactly Enterprising
Hey, nothing beats honesty, even if you are trying to sell a 1997 Grand Cherokee on Craigslist that’s… well, not quite up to par.
The ad starts out by listing the “good” things about the Jeep, like the fact that it’s equipped with four-wheel drive, turns on and off (that’s important), and has what the owner describes as “newish breaks,” according to an AOL report. The seller goes on to inform prospective buyers that the Grand Cherokee also just passed inspection and is equipped with an AM radio. Stellar.
However, it’s the details on the Jeep that follow the so called “good” stuff that make you appreciate the seller’s candidness in trying to ditch the Jeep. Take for example, the fact that there’s a bungee cord strapped around the rear bumper. Or that the Jeep features “weird smells sometimes.” Then there’s the joke that the trunk will only open if you’re the Fonz from the hit show Happy Days, which probably is a good indication that this Jeep is going to need a lot of touching up before taking it on the road.
