Jeep Renegade Numbers Are Weirdly High
According to recent dealership sales data, the Jeep Renegade is cheap and in abundance.
As reported by Matt Hardigree with The Autopian, if you’re in the market for a 2023 Jeep Renegade, now is the best time to buy one. Stellantis sales are up across the board, with four of their hybrids in the top five selling hybrids in the nation. Though, their little Renegade isn’t being picked out of the litter. Therefore, to help get the Renegade off of dealership lots, the deals for the compact SUV are quite stellar.
So far, dealerships have been so eager to move them off of their lots, that many Renegades have gone to new owners for 9% off of MSRP. Which means a $4,500 cost reduction on a lease, too. Though, the Renegade isn’t the only Jeep being let go for killer deals. Even the Wrangler 4xe is being financed for cheap.
Granted, a lot of the 4xe’s favor comes from federal tax credits — but Hardigee reported that a $62,000 4xe was leased with zero money down for only $450 a month (and there’s a sales invoice to prove it). But the Renegade is where the deals are really something.
Other automakers are in the same boat, thanks to the increasing demands made on them to produce and sell hybrids and/or EVs. And with supply chain issues diminishing and consumer independence returning, sales are improving for just about everyone. So, if you’re thinking about getting that Jeep Renegade as a daily driver or for a young driver in your life, now might be the best time to buy one for a very long time.
Especially if you live in a state that abides by the CARB rule. So far, Stellantis is beginning to close the tap on selling internal combustion powered Jeeps in all 14 states that adhere to CARB’s upcoming zero-emissions sales rule.
In those states, dealerships are certainly feeling the pressure to make room for the upcoming hybrids and EVs that Jeep will roll out in the coming years. Meaning, the good deals for the Renegade are about to get even better.
