Jeep Puts Hold on Shipping Some Renegades
If you’re were planning to pick up one of those hot new Renegades, you might have to wait a little longer than expected.
According to an Automotive News report, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has put a hold on shipping some of the subcompact Jeeps in order to fix a software issue, which means your local dealership might be running a little low on their supply.
Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said the problem is much like the one they experienced with the launch of the Cherokee. That model’s rollout stalled for several months due to a software issue with the SUV’s nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system
It could just be me, but is anyone else starting to get the impression that Jeep might be trying to do too much, too fast with its aggressive new global strategy to expand the brand?
