Could Jeep be revving up to introduce a pickup?
That talk of Toledo possibly losing the production of the Wrangler is stirring up some interesting discussions online.
With news that the next Wrangler could get independent front and rear suspensions and convert to a unibody chassis, Jeep might be considering retaining some of the SUV’s current DNA in a tough new pickup.
At least that’s what being reported by PickUpTrucks.com in a recent news report.
Rumors that Jeep might be developing a pickup have been buzzing since 2005 when the company unveiled the Wrangler-based Gladiator pickup, but back then, Chrysler was so over its head with money issues that the idea just didn’t make sense.
Now, with more financial clearance, it appears a Jeep pickup might be on the horizon.
