Jeep Models to Get a Few Updates for 2015
The new Wrangler might be a couple of years out, but in the meantime, the iconic Jeep will get a few updates to hold it over.
In 2015, the Wrangler is slated to get a new standard eight-speaker audio system and a new standard Torx tool kit, according to a Toledo Blade report. In addition, the subwoofer for the optional premium audio package has been relocated under the cargo floor to allow for more storage room.
The most updates for 2015, however, will come in the Cherokee, which will likely see the addition of start-stop technology as a standard feature on all V6 models coupled with a number of other new features that’ll appeal to the more tech-savvy consumers.
For example, backup cameras and automatic headlights, which were previously only standard on the Limited model, will now be standard on the Latitude and Trailhawk trims as well.
In addition, Jeep will also offer a new optional SafetyTec package on Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk Cherokees that includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection and parking assist.
Think of it all as the technological evolution of one of America’s greatest brands as it revs up to take over the world.
