2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat Spied in Action
With official confirmation that some kind of Hellcat variant of the Grand Cherokee is a sure thing, we knew it wouldn’t be long before someone caught a test model in action.
Autoblog just posted a clip, which only provides a quick glimpse of the supposedly 707-horsepower Jeep testing behind a fence. But it’s that menacing, beast-like roar you can hear coming from the Jeep that really makes the video worth a look.
At this point, it’s pretty clear the Jeep will share the same 6.2-liter V8 used in the popular Charger and Challenger Hellcats. But whether the high-powered Jeep will officially be called a Hellcat or Trackhawk is still a bit of a mystery to most, although rumors suggest it’ll probably be the latter.
Personally, we could care less about the name. It’s the mere idea of a 707-horesepower production Jeep that gets us excited. And, of course, the chance to get behind the wheel when it hits the streets in 2017.
