Jeep Fanatic Picks Up 1948 Willys CJ-2A Project, Needs Your Prayers
That mad Jeep maniac over at Jalopnik is at it again.
Oh, and we mean that in the most respectful way, considering that David Tracy seems to share the same deep passion for Jeeps that we share here at JK Forum.
It’s just that the projects he takes on tend to be a little out of the norm, even for us. Which is why we’ve dubbed him a Jeep maniac when it comes to working on the vehicles.
This time Tracy has decided to use his passion for Jeeps to breathe new life into a rusty 1948 Willys CJ-2A. This comes on the heels of that wild Cherokee project he pulled off for the Easter Jeep Safari, which we covered here. And if the video below of the CJ is any indication of what lies ahead for the project, it’s clear our fellow Jeep lover might actually need those prayers he pleads for.
Calling this one a challenge would be an understatement to say the least. Apparently, there’s barely any parts on the Jeep that are even salvageable, aside from the frame and the powertrain.
Of course, Tracy only paid $1,400 for the Jeep, so even if he can’t pull off getting this thing up and running, it wouldn’t be a huge loss, right?
Either way, we can’t wait to see how this Jeep project turns out.
