If your ultimate dream is to take your Jeep on an African safari but you don’t have the cash, here’s your chance to win big.

As we’re well aware, many of you have taken your Jeep to awesome places like Moab. Or, just down your local trails. But the ultimate dream for most Jeep fans is to traverse the rough yet beautiful terrain of Africa. The only thing that keeps most of us from embarking on such a journey is, well, the extreme cost. But now, Jeep and the Discovery Channel are teaming up to give one lucky fan a cool $20k to cover those costs.

The promotion, officially called the Serengeti Safari Sweepstakes, is taking place unilaterally with Discovery‘s new series of the same name. Jeep is sponsoring Serengeti, the six-episode, weekly one-hour series that’s already underway. The show explores a stunning part of Africa through the eyes of the animals that live there, as well as their daily lives and challenges they face.

Which, obviously, are a little more perilous than your typical Jeep overlanding adventure. Regardless, this gives one lucky person the perfect opportunity to take this once-in-a-lifetime journey. Those wishing to try their luck only have to visit the sweepstakes site, enter their email address, and fill out the entry form. You can enter once per day, per email address, per person. The contest kicked off on August 2 and runs through September 9. So you’ve got plenty of time to get those entries in.

Once finished, the winner will be chosen randomly a few days later. That lucky person receives a check for twenty grand, which we presume they’d use for an epic African safari. But of course, you don’t necessarily have to do that. Clearly, there are legal ramifications here, so you’re free to use that cash for whatever you want. Perhaps that fancy suspension and wheel/tire combo you’ve been eyeballing for a while?

But personally, we’d use the dough for the purposes intended. As they say, you can buy all the physical stuff you want. But you’ll get much more enjoyment out of experiences. And $20k will buy you one heck of an experience, that’s for sure. So if that sounds like something you’d be down for, be sure and head over here to put your name in the proverbial hat!
