Jeep Considering Another Smaller SUV?
Do you ever get the feeling that Jeep might be taking this entire compact thing a little too far?
I mean, with vehicles like the Renegade and the new Compass replacement, does the nameplate really need a smaller Jeep in the stable?
Then again, I guess if the idea is aimed at a “more affordable” offering, as suggested in a recent Car Scoops report, it might make sense. Once you start piling a lot of cool options into a Renegade, it can cost up to $30,000, which certainly isn’t cheap. So, if Jeep can come up with a package for a smaller SUV with some of the same features, it’d probably be a hit.
Buzz about a smaller model was sparked by a statement made by Jeep chief, Mike Manley, at the Paris Auto Show, who told a reporter, that it could be “a viable segment” for the brand in the future.
Of course, the biggest concern for us here at JK Forum is that any new Jeep lives up to the historic nameplate.
