Jalopnik Celebrates 72nd Anniversary of D-Day With Joyride in a Willys B
How does one commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Normandy Landings, or D-Day as it’s commonly called?
Well, according the guys at Jalopnik, one great way of commemorating the historic day, officially June 5, is by taking a ride in a 1946 Willys CJ2a. So, David Tracy, one of our favorite writers for the site (namely because he loves Jeeps), asked his friend Brandon for a ride in his civilian model of the Jeep, also known as the Willys B.
But first, Brandon shares a few important facts about the history of the old war Jeep, which he actually restored in high school. Yup, this guy got a great early start on his passion for Jeeps.

Kind of tough to top an auto shop project like that, whether you’re a teen, or a diehard fan of the nameplate, right? Let us know what you think about this piece of Jeep history.
