Illinois Man’s Pink Wrangler Should Be an Inspiration to Us All

Pink Jeep

There’s nothing that moves me more than a Wrangler with a cause. Why? Because I think that’s what really captures the true spirit of Jeep.

That’s why, the second I stumbled on the story of Wayne Vining and his 1994 Wrangler known as “Miracles are Pink,” I was determined to share it here at JK Forum.

The 41-year-old Illinois native had the Jeep customized in tribute to his sister, Christina Bissey, who died of breast cancer in 2014 at age 52. Vining says his sister always wanted a pink Jeep to remind people about the illness, as highlighted in a Herald & Review report.

To get the project done, Vining turned to his employer, Decatur’s DynaGraphics and Wood Printing, which created the vinyl wrap for the Wrangler. His plant manager, Dan Niebrugge, did most of the design work.

“It’s rare you get to work on something you feel is such a worthwhile cause,” Niebrugge said. “And this certainly was very worthwhile.”

The Jeep features sayings that Vining’s sister liked, such as “Fight Like a Girl,” as well as a number of other inspirational messages, like “Attitude is Everything,” and “Supporting the Fighter, Admiring the Survivor, Honoring the Taken and Never, Ever Giving up Hope!”

Vining and his other sibling, Cindy Goodlick, were even fortunate enough to present the Jeep to their sister before she died.

With roughly $16,000 invested in the pink Wrangler, Vining and Goodlick, now take the Jeep around the country to raise awareness for breast cancer at various rallies and functions.

Like I said, nothing captures the spirit of Jeep like a Wrangler with a cause.
