Illinois Jeep Owners Honor Local First Responders in Memory of 9/11
Honestly, I can’t think of a more fitting way for a diehard American Jeep fan to have spent 9/11 than the way this group of Jeep owners did.
More than 100 Jeeps took to the road in Southern Illinois to show support for first responders and law enforcement in the area, as highlighted in the WPSD Local 6 report below. In addition to providing them with words of encouragement, the group also helped pull together care baskets for those who’ve dedicated their lives to helping others in emergency situations.
“It’s important that we remember our first responders before there is a tragedy like 9/11, and this is just kind of the way we are doing that,” said Tim Legere, the event organizer.
Those of us here at JK Forum couldn’t agree more, Mr. Legere. And thanks for reminding us all of the importance of not waiting until tragedy strikes to honor those who put their lives on the line to project ours.
