Huge Off-road Jeep Convoy vs. Florida Swamps = Good Times

By -

From bone-stock JK’s to pure off-road TJs, this Miami-based Jeep group has it all.

The natural landscape that Florida delivers creates the opportunity for some pretty crazy adventures off-road. We would be sucker not to take our built machines out to these environments and take them head on. The fun part of experiences like this is getting together with a like-minded group of friends and just having some fun. This just happens to be a couple feet deep in mud with some Jeeps. That’s something we can definitely get in line with. Thanks to the guys from OFF ROAD N Chill on YouTube, we get to see what a bad-ass day like this is like!

As you might imagine, Florida is a long way from Moab, so there won’t be any rock crawling in this video. However, what you will see is a hell of a lot of swamps. There is one thing that’s interesting about them and that’s that they are dynamic, constantly changing shape. A deep section might actually be deeper than you thought and a shallow section might be deeper than expected. They always keep you guessing. However, these Jeeps are definitely up to the challenge. At the meet up spot in the video there are 10+ Jeeps, including TJs and JKs with more on the way.

The swamp where this group is has been done by the group before, so they know the best way through the area. The first swamp they cross is the easy route, but on the same swamp there is a substantially harder trail. Even out to battle is a seemingly 100% stock JK Wrangler who still somehow manages to survive through some of these crawls. Some of the Jeeps are not on mud tires or even off-road tires and still attempt to do some of the more heinous swaps. At the end of the day, everybody is just trying to have fun and if somebody gets stuck, its far from the end of the world.

Towards the end of the video, a particularly modded Jeep with 40 inch tires and a 10 inch lift kit tries an untravelled swamp and it ends up being way deeper than you could imagine. After getting stuck, water penetrated the footwells without issue, but the Jeep will live to see another day. Well, that’s what winches are for aren’t they?
