Heading to Houston Auto Show? You can drive a Jeep Compass Trailhawk, Gladiator or Wrangler via ‘unique off-road experience.’

Every year, the Houston Auto Show attracts troves of enthusiasts to drool over cars to come. Though, aside from looking at new and exciting models from a favorite manufacturer, there are always fun ways to interact with different car makers. For instance, Ram has an obstacle course designed to show people how tough Ram trucks are, while being easy to drive. Young enthusiasts will be given the power of judgement in a classic car show, and as usual, an Aftermarket Expo. However, there’s only one featured event that we car about. Camp Jeep.

From January 22-26, the Houston Auto Show is partnering with Jeep to both entertain attendees, and show case Jeeps’ capabilities. With either the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Compass Trailhawk or the Wrangler and Gladiator Rubicon, guests have the chance to drive them all over the Jeep’s challenging off-road course. The course, which is a large 25,000-square foot exhibit, is lead by trusted product specialists that aim to show how any Jeep can make someone an intermediate off-roader. After being the Wrangler being named the nation’s top selling off-roader and the Gladiator winning 2020 Truck of the Year, it’s great to see Jeep taking the time to show people why they’ve been on top for so long.

On the website, the description is as such: “The course is comprised of several obstacles that simulate some of the rigorous testing that Jeep vehicles endure.” Which means testing of articulation, hill climbing and descent, and likely lessons on how and when to use the locking front and rear diffs. So, if you’re in Texas and are curious about a Jeep, this is your chance to test drive one without any strings attached. Well, you’d have to buy a ticket to get into the auto show. Though, if you think about it, you’d pay $14 to look at cool cars. Then, after looking at said cars, you get to test drive a couple of Jeeps.

To make matters more spicy, those who register and drive the Jeeps are automatically entered into the FCA US National Giveaway. Of which, has a grand prize of $70,000 to go toward any FCA vehicle. Also, you’d walk away with a pretty sweet Jeep branded tote bag. Aside from the coolest display of off-road dominance ever, there’s plenty to do at this year’s show.
