Hot Rod JK Wrangler Pickup Ready to Burn Up the Virtual Plaza
Equipped with fat Goodyear Eagle F1s, Mares Narcis George’s JK Wrangler pickup leaves Moab behind for hardcore racing series.
It’s been a while since the last JK Wrangler left the assembly line. Back in those days, more than a few builders wanting a Jeep pickup turned to the platform as their canvas. Not to mention a few companies in the aftermarket ready to help those builders out with their wild pickup projects.
Though JL-era Gladiator now fulfills many a fan’s dream of Jeep pickup now, there’s at least one who continues to dream of a JK Wrangler pickup. AutoEvolution recently happened upon the work of digital artist Mares Narcis George (a.k.a., spoon334), which includes the wildest hot rod Wrangler around.
Rather than designing his JK Wrangler pickup for Moab, though, George’s take slams it all down to the tarmac. Fat and wide Goodyear Eagle F1 slicks replace the Jeep’s namesake all-terrains, set far apart for maximum grip around the corners. And that bed? Rather than adding one behind the body, George just chucked the rear bench for a roll bar and rear spoiler.
From there, the JK Wrangler hot rod wears box flares for venting hot air from the front brakes and funneling cool air to the rear set. Speaking of hot air, though, tucked under each front box flare is a pair of exhaust tips protected by an aerodynamic shroud. A front spoiler and rear diffuser help hold things down upon the road, too.
A few things remain stock on this render, including the doors (which retain their mirrors), the grille and headlights, and even the tailgate. Of course, the JK Wrangler employs another aero trick by utilizing the rear bed cap, as seen in this previous render. George repainted the Wrangler in orange from its original gray to give this render “a bit more vibe!”
George’s hot rod JK Wrangler is the latest of his work with the classic Jeep, dating back to near the start of his Instagram in 2018. We can’t wait to see where he’ll take the Wrangler next. If you’d like one of these on your wall, though, he’s available for commissions.
