Hellcat Jeep? Hellcat Jeep!
Hellcat this, Hellcat that, Hellcat everything! That’s what everyone has been saying, right? It’s essentially broken down to, “You get a Hellcat, you get a Hellcat, EVERYONE GETS A HELLCAT!” That is to say I’m not complaining especially after I got to drive the Challenger Hellcat a few weeks ago. In my opinion, that engine needs to get stuck into everything Chrysler can think of. That includes possibly doing a Hellcat Jeep, which might have just been leaked.
A few days ago, some folks over at Allpar found out that Chrysler had trademarked the name “TrackHawk”. Chrysler’s been mum about what the new name entails, but it’s got a lot of people wondering if this is the new moniker that will replace the SRT name on the Jeep.
The name sounds vaguely Jeep-ish, if there is such a thing, but it also could be the Dart’s performance moniker that we’ve been promised as well.
However, because Jeep already uses “Trailhawk”, it makes a lot more sense that this could be the next iteration of the Jeep SRT. All of us here just hope that it makes use of that lovely 6.2L Supercharged V8 we’ve come to know and love. Fingers crossed.
