Grand Cherokee Swept Away in Texas Flash Flood With Driver Inside
Luckily, this Grand Cherokee driver caught up in a Texas flood survived the ordeal.
As you probably already know, Texas is experiencing some of the craziest weather it has had in decades. After days of rain, flash floods are becoming common occurrences. Here’s a good example of exactly why you shouldn’t travel through a flooded street or roadway.
While the Jeep is still right-side up, onlookers are trying to convince the driver to vacate the vehicle. Whether or not he can get the door open isn’t known, or if he just thought he’d stay with the Jeep.
A quick cut later, though, and the Grand Cherokee is flowing down the newly-formed river with the driver’s foot still on the brake pedal. The water then tosses the Jeep over as it rushes down the river.
Luckily, the man survived, but the Jeep will surely be a total loss. Or it’ll end up on Craigslist with the description, “ran when parked.”
Don’t drive through flash floods, folks. The water can be, and often is, dangerous.
What do you think is the best way to avoid situations like this?
