“What began as a production-intent concept and naming contest generated significant buzz and evolved into a lineup of special-edition Jeep vehicles that appeal to many consumers,” says Mike Manley, president and CEO of Jeep Brand, about the Altitude models.

The 2014 Jeep Wrangler Altitude will wear a matte black grille with gloss black throats, headlight rings and “Jeep” badge, a gloss black front and rear bumper appliques, and 18 inch seven-spoke aluminum wheels.  It will also wear the body color matched Freedom Top and matte black “WRANGLER” decal on the hood, but the Sunrider soft top is optional. So, what is that top covering? Black leather seats with black stitching, leather wrapped steering wheel with black spokes and stitching, black finish hex bolts, and black painted vent rings and grab handles.

The Wrangler Altitude will be powered by a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 with either a six-speed manual or the five-speed automatic with Command Trac transfer case with a 2.72:1 low range. It will set you back $31,595 for the two-door and $35,395 for the Unlimited in Amp’d, Black, Granite Crystal, or Hydro Blue.
