Former Michigan AMC Headquarters Up for Auction

Ever wish you had a real unique piece of Jeep history that really shows how deep your passion is for the brand?

If so, you’re in luck, because in Michigan, the former headquarters of American Motors Corp. (AMC) is up for auction, with a starting bid of only $500, according to a Four Wheeler report.

Yup, you read that right – that’s a measly five-hundred bucks. And given the fact that the facility is 1.4 million square feet, that’s almost impossible for any Jeep fan to pass up.

There is, however, a slight catch. The property has a summer tax bill of $160,631 that you’d be responsible for picking up annually.

Still, given all the room you’d have for holding all those Jeep events you’ve always dreamed about, $160,000 a year seems well worth the investment. In fact, maybe we should all chip in on the bid and crown it as the new official meeting grounds for all JK Forum members.
