Fiat Chrysler Hit With Two More Lawsuits Over Faulty Gear Selectors

There definitely isn’t going to be any quick fix for this one. Nope, not at all.

After coming under fire because of the death of actor Anton Yelchin, Fiat Chrysler has been hit with two more lawsuits over claims that the gear selector in the Jeep Grand Cherokee has caused bodily harm.

In two separate suits filed in New Hampshire and Virginia, two women claim that the confusing gear selector caused the Jeeps to roll over their legs, requiring them to need months of physical therapy with life-changing impairments, according to Business Wire.

Of course, Fiat Chrysler has issued a recall for Grand Cherokees, along with a number of other vehicles equipped with the electronic gear selector that are made by the carmaker. The company has also changed the design of the selector in light of the criticism.

But I’m sure that offers little comfort to those two women, or the family of actor Anton Yelchin.
