Even More Dumb Questions Every Jeep Owner Has to Suffer Through
In 2014, our article “Is That a Hummer?” And 10 Other Dumb Questions Jeep Owners Endure” rounded up the hilarious results of an even more hilarious thread on that subject. Users were asked to post the dumbest question they had ever been asked about their Jeep, and there were some pretty great ones.
That article was published about two years ago, which means there’s been plenty of time for Jeep owners to endure many more stupid questions and comments. Let’s take a look at some more recent answers…

“Why do you wave at other Jeeps?” — Postal68W
“Who are you waving at? You keep waving at random people. Do you know them?” — Postal68W
“This is a nice truck, but why didn’t you buy an F-150, Tacoma, Ram, etc?” — Postal68W (he was on a roll!)
“What do you do if it rains?” — Baddkarmaracing (who had the top off)
“That’s your Jeep? I thought it was some macho guy showing off.” — jk gypsy, a female driver
The Rest of the Internet Responds
That was so fun, we decided to cruise the web for other crazy questions and comments. A whole new set of dumb comments comes from the blogger JeepMomma, who wrote a blog post in response to the JK Forum thread. It seems that on a daily basis she has to deal with the following:
“You know the Jeep gets horrible gas mileage.”
“A Jeep is a really rough ride.”
“Driving a Jeep can be real noisy.”
“A Jeep is unsafe for driving kids around.”
And while Jeep Momma is just trying to enjoy life as a Jeep owner, men frequently come up to her, trying to compare their rides to hers:
“My truck/SUV is faster and tougher than your Jeep.”
“My engine is bigger than yours.” (Seriously!)
Luckily, Jeep Momma has a sense of humor about this and shrugs it off: “They’re just jealous.”
GenRight Off Road saw the JK Forum post as well. They reposted it on their Facebook page, and put out a call to action for their own fans to post dumb questions. Here’s some of the responses:

If you’re a Jeep owner, you have our deepest sympathies. Sometimes the stupidity of our fellow humans can’t be avoided. But that’s how we got such a great thread on JK Forum. So life is all good, right?
