Impressive New JK Bolt-On Brake Kit
Here’s a new brake upgrade kit for 2007 to 2015 Jeep JK Wranglers that offers increased size, stronger caliper brackets, new brake pads, and other great design features.
The first bit of exciting news for the Dynatrac ProGrip Brake System is that it is a bolt-on system that will not only work with 17-inch wheels (though you have to use a spacer for the OEM 17-inch wheels) but also won’t require you to bleed your brake system when installed. It starts out with 13.50-inch rotors up front that use a unique pillar-vented cooling design to pull cooler air from the center of the rotor and out to keep the surface cooler for heavier braking and better performance.
The rear is upgraded to 14.25-inch solid rotors and features an integral parking brake surface so you can still use your OEM parking brake. The improved and stronger caliper brackets are designed to use the OEM calipers with their new brake-pad linings for improved stopping power and better brake performance balance. The combination showed a 30-percent reduction in braking distance on a JK that was fitted with a four-inch lift and 37-inch tires with G-forces up to .63-Gs with the ProGrip System over the stock .48-Gs.
