More Details Revealed About the 2019 JL Wrangler
First uncovered shot of new Jeep reveals more about the upcoming JK replacement.
We’re clearly getting a lot closer to the official debut of the JL Wrangler. And as that day approaches, even more details about the new Jeep are coming to light.
The latest come from one of the first full sightings of the SUV totally uncovered, free of the usual camouflage used to disguise a vehicle during road testing.

The photos of the JL Wrangler were snapped as it rolled off the assembly line in Toledo. The angle of the pic, shared on JL Wrangler Forums, isn’t the best you could hope for. In fact, it doesn’t really leave you lusting after the Jeep any more than you did before. But it does shed some light on a few unique design elements of the new SUV.
One of the most obvious is a vent that sits in a triangular scallop in the front fender, as detailed in an AutoBlog report. There’s also a distinctive character line that runs along the doors of the truck. It also looks like the Jeep’s push-button door handles have been replaced by more modern pull-to-open pieces.
This recent report also points to styled rubber pads spotted on the hood of the JL Wrangler. These suggest that the new Jeep will feature the traditional foldable windshield as well.
Of course, we won’t have a full view of the new Wrangler until it makes its official debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November. But from the information we’ve gathered so far, the new truck is shaping up to be an interesting step forward for Jeep.
